The beautiful scenery of Lane County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. Whitewater paddling here in the Central Cascade Range is a great experience. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Christy Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the to Confluence     with Willamette stretch is the only one. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Oregon tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: Christy Creek frequently gets a good deal of rain; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here; July meanwhile is the driest month. You definitely should go for the Central Cascade Range. While you're here at Christy Creek you   can take a hike along the Dead Mountain Trail. Summertime highs at Christy Creek usually tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Christy Creek. Going for a hike along the Roosevelt Way will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and a short spree to Salt Springs is always worthwhile.
