The natural beauty of Oregon and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The June Creek Br. to Collawash River section of Clackamas River is 8 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-IV section. The wild scenery of the Central Cascade Range is great. The nearby hotels are a bit away from
the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. Whether you're
whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the June Creek Br. to Collawash River stretch is just one of many. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.
Briefly about the general area: All through the summer months highs here at Clackamas River get into the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and after the sun is down during
the winter temperatures at Clackamas River descend into the 30's. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Take a hike on the Cottonwood Meadows Trail. Clackamas River regularly gets lots of precipitation; during December this area sees the most rain, and the driest
