This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The Central Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The
Collawash River to Three Lynx Power Station section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in
nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The beautiful scenery of Oregon and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great.
Briefly about the general area: Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Bagby Trail; since you're here you can take a hike along the Cold Spring Trail. A great deal of precipitation falls at Clackamas River; December is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at Clackamas River throughout the summertime
months are in the 70's, and the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, usually in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's; night lows in the 30's for Clackamas River. And if that's not enough there's plenty more enjoyable stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range.
