The beautiful scenery of Oregon and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. The put-in location is a short drive from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton, as you can see on the road map further down. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. There's camping available near Clackamas River. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The wild scenery of the Central Cascade Range
is great. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere.
This section of Clackamas River in Oregon is 21.8 miles long and it is classified as a class II section by American Whitewater. The McIver Park to Mouth section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your sleeping bag.
