This section of Clackamas River - Oak Grove Fork in Clackamas County is 5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-V(V+) section. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. A good workout
and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The Central Cascade Range scenery is
wonderful. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here.
