Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This is an extremely short section so no need to bring snacks. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the South Fork Clackamas Falls section is just one of them.
You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of places for that. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
Whitewater paddling here in the Central Cascade Range is a great experience. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. The nature scenery of Oregon and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle.
