Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Oregon tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The put-in is not too far from Coos Bay, as you can see on the road map further down. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. Whitewater paddling here in the Coast Ranges is a great experience. This is the only paddling     section along Coos River - South Fork. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling places. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come.
