The nature scenery of Oregon and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. The put-in location is a short drive from Albany-Lebanon, as you can see on the road map further down. The Snow Peak Camp to Larwood Park section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. This section of Crabtree Creek in Linn County is 10 miles long and is rated by American     Whitewater as a class III-IV section. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so pack your camp stove. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. The Central Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: All through the days of summer at Crabtree Creek highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, usually in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's while the   cold winter nights at Crabtree Creek are in the 30's. Crabtree Creek sees pretty high levels of precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the driest.
