The Lone Pine Bridge to Crooked River Ranch stretch of Crooked River in Crook / Deschutes County is 18 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-IV section. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Oregon you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The wonderful Oregon scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting a good workout
and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river
system, the Lone Pine Bridge to Crooked River Ranch stretch is one of them. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff.
