Wickiup Dam to Pringle Falls section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS I-IV 9 miles
The starting point is not too far from Bend, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The wonderful Oregon scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. Whitewater paddling here in the Central Cascade Range is a great experience. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your
car. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Wickiup Dam to Pringle Falls section is just one of them. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. The Wickiup
Dam to Pringle Falls stretch of Deschutes River is 9 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-IV section. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Oregon are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip.

that you can go to, and Bull Bend is something you shouldn't miss since you're here. Deschutes River is ordinarily a rather dry location; most of the snow falls during December, and the driest month of the year is July. So much fun stuff in the Central Cascade Range, just inspiring.
