This stretch of Deschutes River in Oregon is 16 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. If you're coming from Bend it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The natural beauty of Oregon and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Pringle Falls to Big River Campground section is just one of many.
Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Oregon is often tougher than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your
camp stove too. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. When you're paddling down a Central Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

the duration of the months of summer, highs mostly are in the 70's at Deschutes River. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Deschutes River.
Fall River Falls is always fun to check out. It is very dry here at Deschutes River commonly; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
