Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Oregon are harder than the national norm, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The starting point is not too far from Bend, as you can see on the road map further down. The scenic beauty of Deschutes County and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The campgrounds here at Deschutes     River are pretty good. There are some good hotels near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
