The starting point is not too far from Bend, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. If you hurry you
can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. No shortage of good hotels, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting a
good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.
