You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Oregon is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There are no other sections to paddle along Drift Creek than the Meadow Creek to     3 miles above mouth section. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camping stuff. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The wild scenery of the Coast Ranges is great. This stretch of Drift Creek is 17 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. Briefly about the general area: There is a splendid hiking trail near Drift Creek called the Horse Creek Trail. Drift Creek is a quite wet place typically with a great deal of rainfall; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. High temperatures at   Drift Creek throughout the months of summer are in the 60's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Through the winter highs are generally in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Drift Creek temperatures fall to the 30's.
