Josephine county, Six Miles to confluence With Rogue River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS III     6 miles
The beautiful scenery of Josephine County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The Six Miles to confluence With Rogue River section of Grave Creek in Josephine County is 6 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III section. The starting location is a short drive from Grants Pass, as you can
see on the road map further down. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beautiful Coast Ranges scenery is an added bonus. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this
is an area with not too many other rivers for that. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. Grave Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Six Miles to confluence With Rogue River stretch is the only one. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.
