This section of Jackson Creek in Douglas County is 8 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV(V) section. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The NF300 to Cover Camp stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river
system. When you're paddling down a Southern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. There's camping available near Jackson Creek. Getting some
good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's perfect for a one day trip. The natural beauty of Oregon and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here.

cool stuff in the Southern Cascade Range. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Jackson Creek; Acker Divide Trail is a tremendous local trail. The North and South Trail offers hiking at its best, and since you're here at Jackson Creek, checking out Cow Horn Arch is a must.
Throughout the summertime at Jackson Creek temperatures are regularly in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and night lows at Jackson Creek throughout the winter regularly sink into the 30's.
