The scenic beauty of Tillamook County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The Coast Ranges scenery is wonderful. This stretch of Jordan Creek is 6.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III+(IV) section of whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right
nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The Headwaters to Wilson River section is the only paddling section along Jordan Creek. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area
you'll find lots of paddling spots. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip.
Briefly about the general area: Jordan Creek mostly gets lots of rain; December is the month that gets the most rain; August is the month with the least moisture. During the summer months here at Jordan Creek, high temperatures regularly get into the 60's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Jordan Creek.
