The Keno Dam to JC Boyle Reservoir section of Klamath River in Klamath County is 5.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be
a class III section. The natural beauty of Oregon and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The put-in location is a short drive from Klamath Falls, as you can see on the road map further down. When you're paddling down
a Southern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Oregon are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. This
section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. The Keno Dam to JC Boyle Reservoir section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. There's camping available near Klamath River. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking
