  Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Oregon are harder than the national norm, so you'd better keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. The campgrounds here at Klamath River are pretty good. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. A good workout and just hanging
    out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The natural beauty of Oregon and the water flowing gracefully down Klamath River will make you feel great. The Southern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. The JC Boyle Dam to Powerhouse section of Klamath River in Klamath County
is 5 miles long and is a class IV+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with not too many other places for that.

Briefly about the general area:
A common amount of rainfall falls here at Klamath River; December is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month of the year is July. You simply have to stop by Big Bend while you're here at Klamath River.

70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Klamath River.
