Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This section of Klamath River in Oregon is 17
miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-IV+ section. The JC Boyle Powerhouse to Copco Reservoir section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camp
stove. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. The beautiful scenery of Oregon and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. The beauty of the Southern Cascade Range is a great plus for this river.
Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Klamath River ordinarily tend to be in the 70's while night lows are frequently in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's while Klamath River overnight low temperatures during
