The JC Boyle Powerhouse to Copco Reservoir section of Klamath River is 17 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV+ section of whitewater. The natural beauty of Oregon and the water flowing gracefully down Klamath River attract people from near and far. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the JC Boyle Powerhouse to Copco Reservoir stretch is one of them. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive
a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a pretty small number of paddling spots. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip,
so why not pack your sleeping bag too. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Oregon is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The beautiful Southern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus.
