county,
Rujada Campground to Wildwood Falls section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS IV 5 miles
This section of Layng Creek is 5 miles long and has been rated as a class IV section by American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Oregon and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Oregon you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. If you're coming from Eugene-Springfield
it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Layng Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Rujada Campground to Wildwood Falls section is the only one. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but
if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The river winds through the Central Cascade Range and you get great scenery.
