The nature scenery of Douglas County and the water flowing gracefully down Little River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily     run it on an afternoon. The wild scenery of the Central Cascade Range is great. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are no other stretches to paddle along Little River than the FS Road 165 to White Creek Campground stretch. Briefly about the general area: Little River is right by the Red Butte Trail; hiking along the Mott Trail is pleasant fun. Through the warm days of summer at Little River highs are regularly in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Little River fall into the 30's.   These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. A great deal of rain falls at Little River; the month with most of the rain is November; July is when it's the driest.
