If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The Bridge on FS 14 to SE Marmot Road section is one of a few paddling sections in     this river system. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. When you're paddling down a Central Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. Briefly about the general area: The high level of rainfall makes Little Sandy River a rather wet site; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Little Sandy River regularly tend to be in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's.
