The Buell County Park to Yamhill River section of Mill Creek is 7 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. The starting point is not too far from Corvallis, there's a road     map further down the page with more info on that. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The beautiful scenery of Polk/Yamhill County and the water flowing gracefully down Mill Creek are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Buell County Park to Yamhill River section is one of them. The beautiful Coast Ranges scenery is an added bonus. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: Mill Creek sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is December,   and the driest month of the year is July. All through the summer at Mill Creek highs are mostly in the 70's; the night is somewhat cooler of course, commonly in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Mill Creek tend to be in the 30's.
