The nature scenery of Oregon and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. The Central Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. This section of Mohawk River in Oregon is 5.8 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. Mohawk River doesn't have     a lot of paddling stretches, the Mohawk River Road to Hileman Road stretch is the only one. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. Briefly about the general area: The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Mohawk River. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. During the winter highs are regularly in the 40's with winter   lows in the 30's overnight here at Mohawk River.
