If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Oregon you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. The Table Rock Fork to Glen Avon Bridge stretch of Molalla River is 13 miles long and is a class II-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend
some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. The
scenic beauty of Clackamas County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. There are no other sections to paddle along Molalla River than the Table Rock Fork to Glen Avon Bridge section. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
Briefly about the general area: At Molalla River through the long summer days highs are
in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Molalla River during the winter generally descend into the 30's. From a rain point of view Molalla River is a relatively typical location; the month with most of the rain is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
