The wonderful Clackamas County scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The Copper Creek to Molalla River stretch of Mollala River - South Fork is 6.5 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system,
there are a few others too. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. The average Oregon whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable.
Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The campgrounds here at Mollala River - South Fork are pretty good. When you're paddling down a Central Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too.
