Oregon whitewater - Nestucca River, Coast Ranges, Tillamook County
Tillamook
county,
Blaine to Hebo section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II 13.6 miles
The wonderful Oregon scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The Blaine to Hebo section of Nestucca River is 13.6 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The average Oregon whitewater rafting or kayaking
river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your camp stove too. There are a few other sections in this river
system that can be paddled as well. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. The Coast Ranges scenery is wonderful.
