The wonderful Tillamook County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Nestucca River will make you feel great. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Oregon is often tougher than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
Briefly about the general area: Don't leave Nestucca River without first paying a visit to Davidson Spring. For the period of the summer months highs here at Nestucca River get into the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's.
Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Nestucca River. Nestucca River generally gets lots of rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
