This section of Rogue River - North Fork is 3.3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV(V+) section. The nature scenery of Jackson County and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. The beautiful Southern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The Mill Creek Falls to Lost Creek Lake section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. The starting point is not too far from Medford, as you can see on the road map further down. Whitewater
rafting and kayaking spots in Oregon are harder than the national norm, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. A good workout and a chance to spend
some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. This is a somewhat short section so no need to bring snacks. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
Briefly about the general area: A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Rogue River - North Fork; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest of the months is July. A short journey to Mill Creek Falls is always worthwhile, and Skookum Gorge is a perfect place
