The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Medford, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The beautiful scenery of Oregon and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. This section of Rogue River - North Fork is 3.3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV(V+) section. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll
find lots of paddling spots. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Oregon tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance
then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. Whitewater paddling here in the Southern Cascade Range is a great experience. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near.
