Says Ryan This section of Row River in Lane County is 5 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The wonderful Lane County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. If you're coming from Eugene-Springfield it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The Dorena Dam to Scaling Station Bridge section is one of a few     paddling sections in this river system. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. On this section you do get some distance, suitable for an afternoon trip. The campgrounds here at Row River are pretty good. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Briefly about the general area: The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Row River. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. All through   the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Row River dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights. Row River generally gets a large amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls during November while July is typically the driest month.
