Dorena Dam to Scaling Station Bridge section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II-III 5 miles
we went in inflatable rafts down this river, and my friend got screwed up. Says Ryan
The Dorena Dam to Scaling Station Bridge stretch of Row River in Oregon is 5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. The put-in is not too far from Eugene-Springfield, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't
forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. On this section you do get some distance, suitable for an afternoon trip. You can pitch a tent or park your RV
at a nearby campground. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. There are some good hotels near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of places for that.
