The McCredie Hot Springs to Rigdon Road Bridge section of Salt Creek in Oregon is 7.2 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-IV section. The nature scenery of Lane County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. rivers for that around here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Whitewater paddling here in the Central Cascade Range is a great experience. Not too many hotels
nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. There are no other stretches to paddle along Salt Creek than the McCredie Hot Springs to Rigdon Road Bridge stretch.
