This section of Sandy River in Oregon is 6.5 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Oregon are harder than the national norm, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. This section is long enough to enjoy a good
non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. The wild scenery of the Central Cascade Range is great. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming
back for more. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There's camping available near Sandy River.
