This section of Sandy River in Clackamas / Multnomah County is 13.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Oregon are often more challenging than in other states, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The scenic beauty of Oregon and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river
for a while have a lot of people coming here. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good places for that around here. The Central Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. The starting point is not too far from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton,
if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Revenue Bridge to Oxbow Park stretch is just one of them. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. There are many good hotels to choose from, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
