CLASS II-III 7 miles
Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Oregon is often more difficult than elsewhere, so don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The nature scenery of Oregon and the playfulness of the water beats anything. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. When you're paddling down a Central Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make
reservations in advance you're all set. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. The campgrounds here at Sharps Creek are pretty good. The put-in location is a short drive from Eugene-Springfield, there's a road map further
down the page with more info on that. This is the only paddling stretch along Sharps Creek. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. This section of Sharps Creek in Oregon is 7 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section.
