The Below Thomas Creek Falls to Log Bridge section of Thomas Creek in Linn County is 5.2 miles long and has been rated as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. The put-in location is a short drive from Albany-Lebanon, as you can see on the road map further down. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river
if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. The beauty of the Central Cascade Range is a great plus for this river. You can pitch a tent or park
your RV at a nearby campground. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The average Oregon whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners.
