This section of Trask River in Tillamook County is 6.7 miles long and it is classified as a class III section by American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Tillamook County and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive
a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are
not very forgiving. The Fish Hatchery to Upper Peninsula Boat Ramp section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. The Coast Ranges scenery is wonderful.

Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Trask River. Trask River gets a large amount of water; December is the wettest month with most rain, and August is when it's the driest.
