The beautiful scenery of Klamath County and the water flowing gracefully down Trask River beats anything. This section of Trask River is 15 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V section. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Whitewater paddling here in the Southern Cascade Range is a great experience. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting some
good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. This stretch
has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your sleeping bag. The John Boyle Power Plant to Copco Lake stretch is the only paddling stretch along Trask River. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a pretty small number of paddling spots.
