This section of Umpqua River - South in Oregon is 9 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The average Oregon whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Lawson Bar to Myrtle Ck stretch is just one of them. There are some good hotels near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
