The natural beauty of Oregon and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whitewater paddling here in the Central Cascade Range is a great experience. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Victor Road Bridge to Tygh Valley section is just one of
many. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Oregon you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or
both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good places for that around here. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. This stretch of White River in Oregon is 11.3 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.

area: Nearby Pine Hollow is a wonderful site to go if you're at White River, and White River is a site with many visitors from City of The Dalles. This site, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Around White River you don’t get a lot of rain;
the month with most of the rain is December; July on the other hand is the driest. At White River through the days of summer highs are in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 40's. All through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's while White River nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's.
