The starting location is a reasonable drive from Albany-Lebanon, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The nature scenery of Oregon and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The average Oregon whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state     are not easy. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. The river winds through the Central Cascade Range and you get great scenery. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Wiley Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Above Wiley Creek Gorge to Little Wiley Creek Confluence section is the only one. Briefly about the general area: Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Wiley Creek get into   the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Wiley Creek tend to be in the 30's. The high level of rainfall makes Wiley Creek a reasonably wet spot; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
