The scenic beauty of Lane County and the water flowing gracefully down Winberry Creek will make you feel great. The starting point is not too far from Eugene-Springfield, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This stretch of Winberry Creek is 4 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III+(V) section of whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. Whitewater
paddling here in the Central Cascade Range is a great experience. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill
up quick. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Oregon is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The South / North Fork Confluence to Forest Service bridge section is the only paddling section along Winberry Creek.
