The beautiful scenery of Lane County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Eugene-Springfield, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so better not forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. There are no other sections to paddle along Winberry Creek than the South / North Fork Confluence to Forest Service
bridge section. Whitewater paddling here in the Central Cascade Range is a great experience. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because
these hotels fill up quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. The campgrounds here at Winberry Creek are pretty good. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. The South / North Fork Confluence to Forest Service bridge section of Winberry Creek in Oregon is 4 miles long and is a class III+(V) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater.

High temperatures at Winberry Creek through the summertime months are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Winberry Creek. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even
more cool stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range. Winberry Creek is a wet spot that gets a great deal of rain; through November this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. Go for a hike on the Hardesty Trail; don't leave Winberry Creek without first going for a hike along the Eagles Rest Trail.
