The Lick Run to Pine Creek stretch of Babb Creek in Pennsylvania is 13.7 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
The campgrounds here at Babb Creek are pretty good. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. There are no other sections to paddle along Babb Creek than the Lick Run to Pine Creek section. The put-in location is a
short drive from Williamsport, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The beautiful scenery of Pennsylvania and the water flowing gracefully down Babb Creek make the trip here worthwhile.

come to this river you will have a good time for sure. Go for a hike on the Tannery Hill Trail. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Babb Creek reach the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Babb
Creek overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. Devils Elbow is an attention-grabbing thing to spot while you're here at Babb Creek, and a day on the slopes of Ski Sawmill is just what you need.
