Says Patrick The put-in location is a reasonable drive from York-Hanover, as you can see on the road map further down. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Pennsylvania tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. The beautiful scenery of York County and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming     from far and near. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. This is a somewhat short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There's camping available near Beaver Creek. The Alpine Road to Bull Road stretch of Beaver Creek in Pennsylvania is 1.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-IV section. This is the only paddling stretch along Beaver Creek. Briefly about the general area: The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Ski Roundtop.
