Fayette
county,
LR 26023 to confluence with Meadow Run section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS IV-V 4 miles
This stretch of Beaver Creek in Fayette County is 4 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. The put-in location is a short drive from Morgantown, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The beautiful scenery of Fayette County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the LR 26023 to confluence with Meadow Run section is
one of them. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this
state than those in other states, so better not forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip.
