Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Whitewater
rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're
all set. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Hudsondale to mouth section is one of them.
