This was absolutely crazy!!!! I did it in a liquidloqic stingray 12 with a half skirt, ooooppppsssss!!!!!Full skirt is needed and a helmet would be nice. Awesome trip!!! There is noooooo lull in between rapids, just rapids, rapids and moorrreeee rapids for 10 miles!!!

If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so don't forget that many runs in this state are very easy. The natural beauty of Indiana County and the water flowing
gracefully down Blacklick Creek attract people from near and far. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Route 56 to Josephine stretch is one of them. The Route 56 to Josephine stretch of Blacklick Creek is 10 miles long and is a class II-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because
these hotels fill up quick. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for
more.
Briefly about the general area: Lots of rainfall falls at Blacklick Creek; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Blacklick Creek. For the duration of the
moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Blacklick Creek temperatures plunge to the 10's.
