This was absolutely crazy!!!! I did it in a liquidloqic stingray 12 with a half skirt, ooooppppsssss!!!!!Full skirt is needed and a helmet would be nice. Awesome trip!!! There is noooooo lull in between rapids, just rapids, rapids and moorrreeee rapids for 10 miles!!!

The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Pennsylvania are often easier than in other states, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. The scenic beauty of Indiana County and the water flowing
gracefully down Blacklick Creek are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The put-in is not too far from Indiana, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. You can enjoy this section more if you take your
time, so pack your sleeping bag. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Route 56 to Josephine section is one of them. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end
up sleeping in your car. The Route 56 to Josephine stretch of Blacklick Creek in Indiana County is 10 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-IV section of whitewater.
Briefly about the general area: High temperatures at Blacklick Creek during the
summer are in the 80's, and the night is quite chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Blacklick Creek. Blacklick Creek gets much water; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
