This stretch of Blacklick Creek - South Branch in Pennsylvania is 9 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Cambria County and the cool fresh water have people coming here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip.     A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The Route 271 to Vintondale section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system.
