The natural beauty of Wyoming County and the water flowing gracefully down Bowman Creek attract people from near and far. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. The put-in location is a short drive from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The nearby     hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Pennsylvania is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. Bowman Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Pennsylvania Route 309 to Susquehanna River stretch is the only one. The campgrounds here at Bowman Creek are pretty good.
