  This stretch of Brandywine Creek - West Branch is 6.6 miles long and it is classified as a class I-III section by American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Pennsylvania and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. There arenít any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This
    section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Pennsylvania are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here
do keep in mind that lots of rivers in this state are good for beginners. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Reading, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you wonít get lost. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some  
kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.

Briefly about the general area:
The Buzzard Trail offers hiking at its best, and at Brandywine Creek - West Branch you always meet someone from Brandamore. There's perfect hiking along the Lenade Trail. Brandywine Creek - West Branch usually gets a great deal of precipitation. May is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime highs at Brandywine Creek - West Branch usually tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 60's.
