The starting location is a reasonable drive from Cumberland, as you can see on the road map further down. This section of Brush Creek is 3.2 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This is the only paddling stretch along Brush Creek. This stretch is short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. The nature scenery of Somerset County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have
you coming back for more. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Pennsylvania is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are
